With approximately 1,000 feet of frontage along clear Twelve Mile Creek, a private swimming hole, gravel bar, wooded trails, and peaceful outdoor spaces, this is a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a little adventure.

THE CABIN

Twelve-Mile Cabin was thoughtfully designed to make its small footprint feel comfortable, stylish, and complete. The cabin includes one private bedroom, a full bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living area with a pullout sofa, and a spacious covered deck overlooking the woods.

Inside, you’ll find:

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

Spend your days swimming, wading, floating, or relaxing beside the creek. Explore the private hiking and mountain biking loop, watch for wildlife, enjoy coffee on the porch, or gather around the fire pit beneath a sky full of stars. An inflatable kayak is also available for guests to enjoy during their stay.

A PEACEFUL HOME BASE

The cabin feels wonderfully secluded while still providing easy access to some of southeastern Missouri’s most beautiful outdoor destinations. Castor River Shut-Ins, Amidon Memorial Conservation Area, Silver Mines Recreation Area, Millstream Gardens, and Elephant Rocks State Park are all within reach for a day of hiking and exploring.

GOOD TO KNOW

Twelve-Mile Cabin is located in a remote, natural setting. The final stretch of the drive is gravel, and an AWD or 4WD vehicle is preferred. Guests should also expect the wildlife, insects, and changing conditions that come with a true wooded getaway.
